At Cop28 in Dubai
I can provide interim leadership up to a maximum of six months. Most people hire me to help out between exiting and incoming leadership, however it could also be an interim role that does something new for the organisation when the existing Director doesn’t have the bandwidth to take on the piece of work that’s needed. This could be setting up a new board, planning an anniversary event, reviewing a new donor or membership programme or tier.

I have worked with many fundraisers and alumni relations colleagues over the years to help train them up when they are new to the profession. I’ve also worked closely with CEOs and Boards who are not fundraisers themselves who need to understand what questions to ask (or not ask!) in a meeting with a potential donor. I’ve helped them find chairs of their development committees and steered them away from taking money from donors they shouldn’t be engaging with. I have greatly benefited from coaches and mentors throughout my career and know it’s a valuable relationship when the chemistry is right.
